It is common to have differences between husband and wife after marriage. But, in recent times such disputes are ending in someone's death, which is a matter of great concern. Reports suggest that incidents of wives killing their husbands with the help of their lovers are on the rise. The latest case is from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, where a wife killed her husband with the help of her lover by giving intoxicants in his food. Earlier it was believed to be a death due to heart attack, but in the postmortem it was found to be murder.

The incident took place in Chiluvuru village of Duggirala mandal in Guntur district. On 18th of this month, onion trader Lokam Shiva Nagaraju was found dead in suspicious condition at his home. His wife Lakshmi Madhuri told relatives and neighbors that the death was due to gas problem and heart attack. But, the police who reached the spot got suspicious while talking to Lakshmi Madhuri. After this, on the insistence of the police, the body was sent for postmortem. Postmortem found fractures in ribs. After this, when the police strictly interrogated Lakshmi Madhuri, it came to light that it was a murder.

Acquaintance, love and then murder in the theater

Lokam Shiva Nagaraju and Lakshmi were married in 2007. Later, while working in a cinema theater hotel in Vijayawada, Lakshmi Madhuri met a man named Gopi, a resident of Sattenapalli. This friendship soon turned into love. Fed up with the family feud and her husband's harassment, Lakshmi decides to kill her husband with the help of her lover. As part of the murder conspiracy, Lakshmi procures sleeping pills with the help of Gopi's friend and RMP doctor Suresh. Then she mixed the pills in biryani and gave it to her husband. After this he called Gopi and his friend home. They strangled Shiva Nagaraju to death and then stabbed him in the chest with a piece of wood, ensuring his death. During police interrogation, the woman confessed that her husband had come to know about her illicit relationship, due to which she committed the murder due to mental harassment. After this the police arrested all three accused.
