Kolkata: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will meet chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Monday in New Delhi amid ongoing SIR hearings and Trinamool Congress' opposition to a slew of issues related to special intensive revision, including logical discrepancies and harassment of the common people.

Trinamool delegation has been asked by ECI to visit Nirvachan Sadan at around 4 pm on Monday.

Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a public rally in Singur, Banerjee held a public meeting at the same location on Wednesday and attacked the PM for failing to lay the foundation stone of a single industry in Singur. Banerjee said agriculture and industry will thrive together in Singur.

She said Amazon and Flipkart will build warehouses and a private industrial park will be developed in Singur where thousands of people will get employment.

Hitting out at Modi, the chief minister said: "I observed a hunger strike in Singur for 26 days. Singur's land brought me to power. I have returned land to farmers. Did you lay the foundation stone of any project?
