Mumbai: BCCI is making all preparations for the 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2026 will start in the last week of March and now the RAPP Sheet (Registered Available Player Pool) has been released.
BCCI has provided a list of 1,307 players to all franchises. These players participated in the auction held in Abu Dhabi on December 16 but were not sold. If any team players are injured or become unavailable during this season someone from this list must be selected.
RAPP includes several high-level international names. This includes former Australian captain Steve Smith, England players Reece Topley, Jamie Smith, and Jonny Bairstow, and New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell. Daryl Mitchell who recently won the Player of the Series award in the ODI series between India and New Zealand is on the list with a reserve price of 2 crore rupees.
Indian players with international experience also feature prominently. Mayank Agarwal, K.S. Bharat, Deepak Hooda, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya, Sandeep Warrier, and Umesh Yadav are included among the Indian options, each having a reserve price of 75 lakh rupees.
BCCI has formulated strict guidelines regarding the use of RAPP. Franchises are not permitted to sign a replacement player for a fee lower than the reserve price fixed before the auction. Although teams can engage players from the list as net bowlers, such arrangements do not provide any priority rights.
