Pune: The plane crash that took place in Baramati on Wednesday morning left the politics and common people of Maharashtra in deep shock. In this tragic accident, a total of five people including flight attendant Pinky Mali along with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar died. Pinky Mali’s father Shivkumar Mali, while talking about his daughter, said, “A mountain of sorrows has fallen on my family. I saved every penny and got my daughter to study as an air hostess. She used to take great care of us after joining the job. But today everything has ended.”
Pinky Mali had promised to talk to her father a day before the accident, which now remained unfulfilled. Shivkumar Mali recalled, “Pinky had said, ‘Papa, I will go to Baramati tomorrow (Wednesday) with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. After dropping him, I will go to Nanded and will talk to you after reaching the hotel.’ Now that conversation will never happen.”
Shivkumar Mali told that his daughter was working as a flight attendant for the last five years. Pinky started her career with Air India and later joined VSR Ventures, a private chartered flight company. She had flown with the President, Chief Minister and many political leaders. This was Pinky’s fourth time when she was on a flight with Ajit Pawar.
Pinky was very responsible and committed in her work. Shivkumar recalled that recently when Pinky flew with Ajit Pawar, he realized that Pawar was traveling across Maharashtra but was not paying attention to NCP workers. Pinky complained to him and said, “Papa has been an NCP worker for 35 years.”
Pinky Mali’s mother and family are in deep mourning after the accident. Shivkumar said, “I was shocked to hear the news of the accident. The family left for Baramati so that Pinky could be given a final farewell.”
Apart from Pinky, Ajit Pawar, his bodyguard Videep Dilip Jadhav, pilots Sumit Kapoor and Shambhavi Pathak also died in the plane crash. This accident caused irreparable loss to the family of Pinky Mali along with the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and his associates.
After the accident, there was mourning in Baramati and his house. Shivkumar Mali said, “Ajit Pawar had contacted me after getting information about the accident. That call will never come again.” Pinky’s hard work, commitment and spirit of service will always be remembered by her family and her colleagues.
Pinky Mali’s demise is an irreparable loss not only for her family but for everyone who knew her work and dedication. The memory of his dreams and hard work will always be alive in the hearts of people.
