Kalaburagi: R D Patil, identified as the kingpin of the PSI exam scam, has been shifted from Kalaburagi Central Prison to Mysuru Jail. The prison department carried out the transfer following issues related to his conduct inside the Kalaburagi jail.

According to sources, R D Patil was creating disturbances inside the prison, which led authorities to move him to Mysuru. Last month, videos showing gambling and alcohol consumption inside the jail had gone viral, and R D Patil was allegedly the mastermind behind these activities. He had also made allegations of bribery against the Kalaburagi jail chief superintendent. It is further alleged that he played a role in making the videos viral using a pen drive.

After videos showing an alleged luxurious lifestyle inside Kalaburagi Central Prison surfaced, Prison DGP Alok Kumar visited the jail, reviewed the situation, and ordered an inquiry. Based on the findings of the investigation, the prison department decided to transfer R D Patil to Mysuru Jail.
