Bollywood actors Parmeet Sethi and Archana Puran Singh have been together for almost four decades, that too despite all the difficulties. Both of them have talked openly about their lives through Archana's YouTube channel.

In their latest video, the duo recounted their tumultuous early years, which included failed businesses, major career changes and people predicting their failure. Parmeet's seven years younger than Archana also added to their problems, and their marriage took place at a time when Parmeet had failed in business and was struggling with depression.

In the second episode of Archana's new YouTube series 'Pyaar Dosti Hai', Parmeet and Archana sit down and discuss how money and financial turmoil has affected their relationship. Recalling her initial meetings with Parmeet, Archana said, 'In today's Gen Z language, you were a red flag. People say this about those boys who are not earning or whose relationship is not settled. For a man, the woman being older was also an alarm bell. Our Pandit ji said, 'Looking at your horoscope, I would have advised you not to get married.' He told us that we would have had to face a lot in the initial years.

Parmeet Sethi's business failed

Parmeet said that he could not believe that Archana remained with him even after losing his business and all the money invested in it. He said, 'I started a clothing business and got some good orders from Europe. I had set up a factory in Bengaluru and everything was going well, but suddenly all the orders were cancelled. All the big brands suffered losses and I lost everything. I remember calling you from the STD booth and I was crying. My entire business was ruined and I asked you, 'What should I do?' You just said, 'Come back.' You gave me the support that hardly anyone could give.

Parmeet considered acting as a good business

Parmeet further said, 'At that time I was completely depressed and would not get up from the bed. I remember one of your producers came and you told him, 'Leave a cheque, and only if it passes, I will give you shooting dates.' Hearing this I thought, 'This is a great business.' In my business, money used to come after months, if at all. I realized that acting is a business where you have to sell yourself, and I knew that. So I decided to become an actor.

Archana used to pray only one prayer to God

Archana further said, 'I always prayed to God that all my problems should be financial only. Because you can deal with those problems, but what happens when someone gets separated or something happens to someone? Even today I wish the same. Meaning, we recently suffered a huge financial loss, and you said to me, 'You are the one who wanted this.' But at that time I told you, 'Bittu (Parmeet), this is an economic problem. At least we both are together.

Archana was not happy with Parmeet's acting

The actress told that she was not at all happy with Parmeet's acting. Parmeet interrupted and said, 'You told me, 'I don't want a struggler boyfriend.' Archana said, 'I thought that you could not become an actor because you were very introverted. You weren't even joking, and that's what I thought. If I thought you had talent, I would never have said no, but I'm glad you didn't listen to me. I never thought about you not earning, because I thought, 'I am earning, so what's the problem?' This was the thinking - whether it is a boy or a girl, it does not matter.
