'Parasakthi', the much-awaited period drama from Sivakarthikeyan, is still going very slow at the box office. On day 20 the film made only Rs 5 lakhs. The trend has been the same for many days now and it looks like the film may soon stop its theatrical run.

Social media filled with nice reviews Even though the numbers are low, many people on social media are praising the film. One person wrote, "Amazing movie Everyone should watch the movie to know about struggle done by many people for their mother tongue Parasakthi is not just entertainment but a statement. It may feel intense in parts, but it leaves a strong impression and encourages reflection. A must-watch for those who appreciate meaningful cinema with social relevance."
Another person wrote, "One decent watch as a movie. The main focus on depecting the 1960 set and showing protests during that time especially fighting for tamil is really beautiful to watch. SK with powerful acting, Atharva with his attitude to keep protesting is really awesome and Sreeleela acting was too good to see. But, Ravi Mohan depecting as powerful villain was more of cinematic in this kind of storyline which could have been handled better to make it more realistic. GV Prakash music is really awesome and enjoyable. Director Sudha Kongara has been bold with this kind of storyline and taking us back in timeline is really nice to witness. SK did beautiful job with his acting but this storyline had romance which is acceptable and too much of hero villain clash which is bit too much in this kind of movie subject or could have handled in a better way."
The film is directed by Sudha Kongara, who is known for 'Soorarai Pottru'.
