SiddharthnagarSiddharthnagar Mahotsav-2026 was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp. Chief guest of the inauguration program of Siddharthnagar Mahotsav-2026, Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath congratulated the people of the district and the public representatives while paying homage to the sacred land of Mahatma Gautam Buddha who gave the message of friendship. Tributes were paid to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on his sudden death. The Chief Minister said that this district became Siddharthnagar in the name of Prince Siddharth.

Kapilvastu was their capital. He went and meditated in search of truth and knowledge. After attaining knowledge, he gave his first sermon in Sarnath. Invoked Buddha Sharanam Gachchami. The Chief Minister said that if power comes into the hands of enemies, it will lead to destruction and if it comes into the hands of gods, it will lead to upliftment. The same work is being done in the double engine government.

Today the residents of the district are receiving the gift of projects worth Rs 1052 crore. The farmers here need water for their crops. Today even rain is like nectar for farmers who provide food. Without any discrimination, 25 crore people are considered as family and budget is made available for their development. We have got human life, we should live together with each other and move forward with a positive thinking.

A medical college was constructed for the treatment of the people of the district. Nursing college is functioning. The foundation stone has been laid for the construction of medical hostel and auditorium. Every eligible poor person is getting the benefits of housing, ration, Ayushman card. Earlier there was a guarantee of 100 days of employment under MNREGA, now 125 days of employment will be provided.

Compensation will be provided if employment is not found. Work is being done to promote fish production through Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana and Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana. Before organizing the festival, competition of local artists should be organized at Gram Panchayat, Nyaya Panchayat, Development Block and Tehsil level. Good artists should be honored by making them participate at the district level. Benefits of road bridges, irrigation, medical hostels and other schemes are being received.

The benefits of all the schemes are being continuously given to the eligible beneficiaries. Farmers are producing the third crop after two crops. This state is moving from disturbance to celebration. The Chief Minister inaugurated/laid the foundation stone of 229 projects costing Rs 1052 crore.
