No. If the relationship breaks with mutual consent or due to family reasons then it is not a crime. The law intervenes only where fraudulent intent is proven.

What if the girl accuses you of not promising marriage?

However, in some cases there is a possibility of misuse of this law. In such a situation, it is important to have clarity at the beginning of the relationship to avoid legal risks. If you are in a relationship and there is no promise of marriage, then this should be cleared in advance. With mutual consent, a written document can be prepared in which it is mentioned that the relationship is without any promise of marriage and if mutual consent is not reached in future, both the parties will be free to separate.
