He shared how difficult it was to break into voice work. He spoke honestly about the grind behind the scenes.

Smith also talked about roles he still dreams of playing. He mentioned franchises like Halo and Half Life. He said he would love to be part of them one day.

He also spoke about a role he wants to return to. That role is Kale Vandelay from Hi Fi Rush.

Smith clearly enjoyed playing the character. He described Kale as loud and dramatic. He said villains should be fun. Not just evil. Kale fit that idea perfectly.

He explained that Kale was rude and selfish. But also over the top. That made him entertaining.

Smith admitted he does not know what is happening with the franchise. There has been no official update for a long time. Still, he said returning would be exciting.

This uncertainty makes sense. Tango Gameworks, the studio behind Hi Fi Rush, was shut down by Microsoft. That shocked many fans.

Despite that, rumors about Hi Fi Rush 2 never stopped. People kept hoping.

Later, Krafton announced it had purchased Tango Gameworks. One reason was to protect the Hi Fi Rush IP.

In an interview from October 2024, Krafton confirmed something big. The team had already been working on Hi Fi Rush 2. They wanted it to exceed fan expectations.

Since then, there has been no new update. But that does not mean development stopped.

Because of this, there is still hope. The sequel may still be alive. And if it is, Roger Craig Smith may return as Kale.

For now, fans are waiting. And Smith is ready if the call comes.
