According to Vastu Shastra, Tulsi should always be kept in a clean place and in the right direction. Planting or keeping Tulsi in the wrong direction causes defects. Along with this, it is also said in Vastu Shastra that the presence of some trees and plants at the place where the Tulsi plant is kept is considered inauspicious.   2. Madar plant should not be kept near the Tulsi plant. Not only Madar, but any such plant or tree which secretes milk or white substance should be avoided around Tulsi. According to Vastu Shastra, such plants kept near Tulsi increase negative energy rapidly and the results of worship are also not achieved.

  3. Like Tulsi, Peepal plant is also considered auspicious, revered and sacred in Hindu religion. But planting Peepal tree at home is not auspicious, because it causes financial loss. Along with this, keep in mind that there should not be any Peepal tree or plant near the Tulsi plant.

  4. According to Vastu Shastra, Tulsi plant should always be planted in the courtyard or balcony. But planting a Tulsi plant on the terrace is not considered auspicious as per Vastu. But you can plant other plants on the terrace.

  5. Take special care that no other plant is planted in the same pot in which you have planted the Tulsi plant. According to Vastu Shastra, this is also considered wrong.
