Ingredients required to make Makhana Paratha



  • wheat flour

  • Makhane (Roasted)

  • salt as per taste

  • black pepper or mild spices

  • Water (to knead the dough)

  • Oil or ghee (for frying)


Easy method of making Makhana Paratha



  1. First of all, lightly fry the makhanas in a pan, until they become nicely crispy.

  2. Let the roasted makhanas cool down and then grind them in a mixer to make a fine powder.

  3. Now add wheat flour, makhana powder, salt and spices in a vessel and mix well.

  4. Knead a soft dough by adding water little by little.

  5. Make balls of dough and roll them into parathas.

  6. Apply some oil or ghee on a hot pan and cook the parathas until they become golden from both the sides.

  7. Hot Makhana Parathas go well with curd, pickle or green chutney. If desired, they can also be eaten with tea.
