Lucknow. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, who was on a one-day visit to Mahoba district, had to face huge opposition. This protest was done by his own MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput and his supporters. The reason behind this protest was the poor condition of many roads dug under the Jal Jeevan Mission and water not reaching people’s homes under this scheme. During this there was a lot of commotion and clash.

In fact, after the convoy of Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh was stopped, a conversation took place between Charkhari MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput and the minister. The minister said that wherever there is any complaint, take me there. I go to that village myself. If you tell me about 40 villages, I will go to check everywhere, I have officers with me. I will look everywhere, if any negligence is found I will suspend the officers. You come with me in my car.

At the same time, after the departure of the minister, BJP MLA from Charkhari Brij Bhushan Rajput while talking to the media said that the party had given me the ticket to serve the public. If someone has to be stopped or picketed to serve the public, then it is my duty and I will not step back from my duty. He said that the Namami Gange project has been going on here for six years and we are continuously corresponding with it. The work under this scheme has not been completed yet. Roads in the villages are dug up and there are many leakages in the pipes, waterlogging and water tanks are leaking. We have informed the Minister about this problem.

The BJP MLA further said that the Minister has assured to complete all the work in 20 days. If work is not done under this scheme, we will not leave because this scheme is of Modi ji.
