Remedies for Magh Purnima

On Magh Purnima, it is customary to worship Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth, with appropriate rituals. Devotees should offer seven lotus flowers and white sweets as prasad. Additionally, presenting a coconut while praying is believed to alleviate financial difficulties.

On this day, tie seven knots of turmeric in a clean yellow cloth and place it in your worship area while reciting Vedic mantras dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. After the puja, store the turmeric knots in your wealth area to help resolve debt issues.

Donating sesame seeds, yellow garments, ghee, and grains is also recommended, as it is thought to invite blessings from ancestors and enhance auspiciousness in life. Offering water to the moon on the night of the full moon and lighting lamps during this time is believed to promote mental tranquility.

The Importance of Pind Daan

Performing Pind Daan (offerings to ancestors) on the full moon day is particularly significant. It is believed to bring peace and liberation to the souls of ancestors while providing relief from various afflictions for the devotee. This practice can be undertaken on this auspicious day.
