Ingredients required to make Garlic Gram Flour Cheela


For cheela batter:



  • 1 cup gram flour

  • 2 teaspoons rice flour

  • a pinch of turmeric

  • salt as per taste

  • Water (as required)


For Garlic Chutney:



  • 4-5 garlic cloves

  • a little cumin

  • Red chilli powder (as per taste)

  • Salt


For stuffing:



  • grated cheese

  • grated carrot

  • finely chopped cabbage

  • finely chopped onion

  • finely chopped capsicum

  • green coriander


Other:



  • Oil or ghee (for frying)


Easy method to make Garlic Gram Flour Cheela


Step 1: Prepare Garlic Chutney


First of all, make a spicy and tasty chutney by crushing or grinding garlic, cumin, red chilli and salt.


Step 2: Make gram flour batter


Prepare a smooth and not too thick batter by adding gram flour, rice flour, turmeric, salt and little water in a bowl.


Step 3: Prepare Vegetable Stuffing


In another bowl, mix cheese, carrot, cabbage, onion, capsicum and green coriander well.


Step 4: Bake Cheela


Heat the pan and apply light oil. Now pour the gram flour batter on the pan and spread it in a thin layer.


Step 5: Add Stuffing


When the cheela becomes light golden, flip it. Spread garlic chutney on top and then add vegetable stuffing.


Step 6: Cover and cook


Cover and cook the cheela on medium flame for 2-3 minutes, so that the stuffing gets set well.


serve like this


Serve hot Garlic Besan Cheela with green chutney, tomato sauce or curd. If you want, you can also pack it in children’s tiffin.

If you want to make it more healthy, then fry the cheela in olive oil or less oil instead of ghee.
