It is a matter of great pride and joy for Uttar Pradesh in the field of empowerment of disabled people, sports talent and human determination that Dr. Deepak Kumar Tripathi, Assistant Professor working in the Department of Special Education of Nehru Gram Bharati Deemed University, Jamunipur, Prayagraj, has achieved a historic achievement in the field of Para Darts.

Dr. Deepak Kumar Tripathi represented Uttar Pradesh in the National Level Para Darts Championship 2026 organized by the Indian Disability Darts Association, which was held on 31 January and 1 February 2026 in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh). More than 120 disabled players from across the country participated in this prestigious competition, where Dr. Tripathi attracted everyone’s attention with his skill, concentration and discipline.

As a result of his excellent performance, he has been selected for the International Para Darts Championship (Malaysia) organized by the World Disability Darts Association, Scotland. Thus, Dr. Deepak Kumar Tripathi will now represent India on the global stage, which is a proud moment not only for Prayagraj and Uttar Pradesh but for the entire country.

Giving information, General Secretary of Indian Disability Darts Association, Mr. Mahendra Singh said that Dr. Tripathi’s selection is a result of his continuous practice, exemplary discipline and excellent sports performance. He expressed confidence that Dr. Tripathi will make the nation proud with his performance on the international stage also. Dr. Deepak Kumar Tripathi is not only a successful player, but is also a guide, motivator and promoter of empowerment for the disabled. He is always working with the resolve that all the disabled people should get equal opportunities in both educational and sports fields and move ahead on the world stage. His efforts are not limited to just personal achievements but are continuously dedicated towards making persons with disabilities self-reliant, self-confident and capable of global competition.

His active role in the field of special education in the academic world and this achievement in the sports field strongly underline the multidimensional talent, strong will and human sensitivity of Dr. Tripathi. His success is a matter of pride for the university family, Prayagraj district and the entire Uttar Pradesh, as well as a message of hope, courage and inspiration for the countless disabled people.
