Jeet Adani Advantage Vidarbha: Jeet Adani, director of Adani Group in Nagpur, said that Vidarbha is no longer just a region of possibilities but is all set to become the new axis of India’s long-term development. With strong leadership, modern infrastructure and industry-government partnership, Vidarbha is transforming its historical heritage into an economic and industrial powerhouse.
Among the projects that will determine the direction of Vidarbha’s industrial future, he described the proposed Rs 70,000 crore Integrated Coal Gasification and Downstream Derivatives Complex at Linga, Kalmeshwar as the most important. This project will generate 30,000 direct jobs and put Nagpur on the global map of clean energy and advanced chemical industries.
Adani said in Advantage Vidarbha that this project is a strong step towards self-reliant India. He described the Gondkhairi underground mining project as an example of responsible and environment-friendly mining where minimum land use, zero displacement and water conservation have been given priority. The acquisition of 75 acres of ICD at Borkhedi and border check posts across Maharashtra is making Vidarbha a strong logistics gateway.
He said that the name of Vidarbha itself reflects its identity and strength. This region has been a center of knowledge, culture and adventure since ancient times. Nagpur, once the capital of Central Province, has today become an emerging hub of logistics, energy, aviation and technology, located at the geographical center of the country. He also said that this transformation of Vidarbha did not happen suddenly but is the result of years of policy thinking and leadership.
Praising the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, he said that their focus on infrastructure, connectivity and balanced regional development has made Vidarbha attractive for investment. Talking about the role of Adani Group, Jeet Adani clarified that the Group’s presence in Vidarbha is not transaction based but a long term and generational commitment.
Maharashtra’s energy security has been strengthened through the revival of 3,300 MW supercritical thermal power plant at Tirora and 600 MW project at Butibori. The 25-year agreement will deliver 6,600 MW of reliable power through a combination of solar and thermal energy that is becoming the backbone of industry, cities and the digital economy.
