The government has made it clear that the aim is to make UP a trillion dollar economy through a combination of law and order, infrastructure development and industrial investment.

However, the real test of any budget lies in its implementation. Converting the announcements into ground reality will be both the biggest challenge and opportunity for the government.

This budget of Uttar Pradesh is huge in size, but what is more important is its focus – employment, women empowerment, agriculture, technology and investment. This will decide in the years to come whether this Budget goes down in history as a turning point or remains just a big figure.
