Shahid Kapoor starrer action-thriller film ‘ও রোমিও’ has received a remarkable response in advance booking since two days before its release. The film will be released in theaters on Friday, 13 February 2026. According to trade analysts, it is likely to find a place in the top-10 opening earnings list on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.

Advance booking of the film begins on Tuesday, 10 February. It attracts the interest of the audience within the first few hours. According to Sacnilk’s report, till Wednesday morning 16,577 tickets of the film have been sold, through which an estimated Rs 38.01 lakh rupees have been collected. Including block seats, this figure reaches 1.43 crore rupees.

Valentine’s Day weekend and opening expectations

The trailer and songs of the film have already caught the attention of the audience. The budget of the film is estimated to be Rs 60-65 crore. This year, the competition in Bollywood on Valentine’s Day is comparatively less, because Sunny Deol’s ‘बर्दार ১’ is at an exhausted stage and Rani Mukherjee’s ‘মর্দানী ১’ has almost reached its full collection.

According to trade experts, Friday ‘ও রোমিও’ may collect 6–8 crore rupees on the opening day. If the strong growth in advance booking continues, this figure could reach Rs 9–10 crore.

Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj reunite

The film is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. In this, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in a new action-thriller role. Before this, he has acted in the films ‘Kamain’, ‘Haaadhaar’, ‘उड़ता पाञ्ञाब’ and ‘Kabir Singh’. The film is also in discussion centering on her reunion with Vishal Bhardwaj.

‘ও রোমিও’ is a story based on an unpublished love story from the Mumbai underworld. The story revolves around Hussain Ustar and Sapna Didi, who became well-known names among the local gangs of Mumbai. Vishal Bhardwaj has produced the film inspired by Hussain Zaid’s book ‘Mother Queens of Mumbai’.

Along with Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri, the film also stars Naab Pateker, Bikrant Massey, Tamanna Bhatia, अबिनाश तिवारी, Disha Patani and Farida Jalal.

The top opening grossing films on Valentine’s Day include: ‘Chhabha’ (2025) – ১১.00 crore, ‘গলি বয়’ (2019) – 19.40 crore, ‘গুন্দে’ (2024) – ১6.10 crore, ‘জলি ললবি 2’ (20১৭) – ১১.20 crore and ‘লাভ আজ কাল’ (2020) – 12.40 crore.

According to analysts, if the current trend of advance booking continues, ‘ও রোমিও’ could become Shahid Kapoor’s highest opening grossing film on Valentine’s Day.
