New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2026 session 1 result 2026 date. The exam conducting authority has made the announcement of the new date through its official X handle. The result has now been delayed by four days from the original date. Along with the result, the final answer key is also awaited.

Once the result is out, over 13 lakh candidates who appeared for the JEE Mains 2026 exam can download the scorecard through NTA’s official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application number and password or date of birth are required to check the result online.

Along with the session 1 result, the NTA has also released the NTA JEE Main toppers list or All India Rank (AIR). Those who are among the top 2.5 lakh qualifiers are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam.

The JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam was held between January 21 to January 24, and January 28 to January 29 in two shifts. More than 13 lakh candidates appeared for the session 1 exam for admission to engineering, architecture and planning programmes.

The JEE Main exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor of Planning (BPlanning) programmes at Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and Government-funded Technology Institutes (GFTIs).

JEE Mains 2026 session 1 qualified candidates can complete the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling registration. Candidates who are not satisfied with their score in session 1 can apply and appear for the JEE Main session 2 exam to improve the score.
