Bank Strike Today: Many bank employee organizations across the country have announced to go on strike today, Thursday, 12 February 2026. In such a situation, if you also want to do any work to the bank, then try to get it done digitally or call the concerned branch before leaving home and find out about the situation, so that there is no problem. The effect of this strike can be seen in both government and private banks.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has not announced any official holiday. But the bank employees have decided to go on strike for their demands. Due to which there may be delay in bank operations like check clearing, cash deposit and withdrawal. Some big banks of the country (SBI, Canara, Bank of Baroda) have already warned their customers. Canara Bank and Bank of Baroda have even informed the stock exchange about the strike. In which it was told that many employee organizations like AIBEA, AIBOA and BEFI have given strike notice.

Employees are on strike regarding these demands

However, the banks also said that they will not let the customers face any kind of problem, but the strike by the employees may have some impact. However, this is not the first time that bank employees are talking about a strike. Have gone on strike many times before also. This time too we have decided to go on strike with our old demands in mind. Bank employees are demanding that they should be given 5 working days a week and 2 days off. As of now, banks remain open only on the second and fourth Saturdays, banks remain open on the remaining two Saturdays. Apart from this, they are also registering protest against the 4 new labor codes brought by the Central Government.

Today bank employees have decided to go on strike. In such a situation, try not to go to the bank. Try to complete your work through digital banking services like net banking, mobile banking and UPI and ATM. If it is very urgent then call the branch once before going to the bank.
