In this match, India has made changes in its playing 11 and included Sanju Samson in place of Abhishek Sharma. Despite getting the chance to open in Abhishek’s absence, Sanju failed to make an impact. He was out after scoring just 22 runs, due to which questions are being raised about his place in the team.

Before the India vs Namibia match, Indian young opener Abhishek Sharma’s health had deteriorated. Due to which he has been kept out of the playing 11. In Abhishek’s absence, the team management expressed confidence in Sanju Samson and included him in the playing 11. However, he could not take advantage of this opportunity and was out after scoring just 22 runs.

Sanju Samson has been struggling with poor form since the beginning of 2025. He has scored only 268 runs in 16 T20 innings at a modest average of 16.75. After this disappointing performance, questions are being raised about his place in the team. Reports are also claiming that the team management can now consider other options in his place.

Apart from Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the playing 11 in the India vs Namibia match, while Mohammed Siraj has been kept out.
