Aadhaar Linking: Today, Aadhaar has become an integral part of many government services and schemes. Aadhaar is used for identity verification in almost every service, be it a bank account, mobile number, gas subsidy, or pension. In this context, linking Aadhaar with pension accounts, especially EPF (Employees' Provident Fund), can prove beneficial. Although linking Aadhaar with a pension account is not mandatory, it makes it easier to verify your identity and documents. This can reduce the chances of delays in claims, pension transfers, and other services in the future. Fortunately, you can easily link Aadhaar with your pension account both online and offline. Here's how.

How to link offline?
To do this, you'll need to fill out the Aadhaar-EPF Seeding Application Form. This form can be obtained from the EPFO office.
When filling out the form, you'll need to provide information such as your name, UAN (Universal Account Number), mobile number, and Aadhaar number.

You will also need to submit self-attested copies of your Aadhaar card, PAN card, and UAN.

After submitting the form and documents, the officials will verify your details.

Upon completion of verification, your Aadhaar will be linked to your EPF account, and you will receive a notification via SMS or email.

How to link online?
If you have your UAN and password, you can link your Aadhaar from home. To do this:

Go to the EPFO's Unified Member Portal website.

Login with your UAN and password.

Go to the menu and select the 'KYC' option.

Here, you will find options to enter your bank, PAN, and Aadhaar details.

Enter your Aadhaar number and name (as written on your Aadhaar) in the Aadhaar section.

After submission, your application will appear under 'Pending KYC.'

After verification, it will appear under the 'Approved KYC' section, which means your Aadhaar has been successfully linked.

This way, you can easily link your Aadhaar card to your pension account. This will simplify your identity verification, speed up your claim processing, and keep your government records up to date.
