The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 match number 19 between Zimbabwe and Australia showed Zimbabwe's ability to compete against Australia at R. Premadasa Stadium. During the match Tony Munyonga grabbed a spectacular catch that dismissed Ben Dwarshuis, pushing Aussies on the backfoot. This was one of the best catches in the tournament so far.

The Zimbabwe bowlers proved to be a challenge for Australia as they pursued 170 runs because the bowlers maintained their tight bowling control. The most significant event occurred in the 18th over when Brad Evans bowled a good length ball to Ben Dwarshuis. The Australian batter attempted to hit it over mid-wicket when Munyonga made his interception.

Tony Munyonga sprinted 15 meters to his left from his position at deep mid-wicket. The ball went away from him while he continued to chase it. He achieved a full jump to catch the ball using both hands while his body stayed almost horizontal to the surface. The audience in the stadium experienced disbelief because of this remarkable performance.
