To celebrate its 100th anniversaryDucati has unveiled the Formula 73a stunning limited-edition tribute to the 1973 750 Super Sport Desmo. This “Urban Café Racer” blends 1970s racing DNA with modern technology, creating a collector’s masterpiece that bridges the gap between heritage and performance.

The Number: Production is strictly limited to 873 numbered units worldwide. The number 873 is a nod to the 803cc engine and the year 1973.
Exclusivity: Each bike features its serial number laser-etched on the steering plate and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Collector’s Perks: Owners receive a special box containing archival sketches and historical imagery from the Ducati Style Centre.
The Formula 73 is inspired by the legendary 750 Imola Desmo, which famously secured a 1-2 finish at the 1972 Imola 200.
Livery: The bike features a signature Silver and Aqua Green paint scheme.
The Gold Stripe: A vertical gold stripe runs down the fuel tank, mimicking the unpainted translucent strip used on vintage race bikes to check fuel levels at a glance.
Café Racer Silhouette: It features clip-on handlebars with bar-end mirrors, a short tapered front fairing, and a minimalist tail section.
Billet Aluminum: Premium Rizoma components, including footpegs, a specialized fuel cap, and adjustable levers, elevate the craftsmanship.
Under its retro skin, the Formula 73 utilizes the reliable Scrambler platform.
Engine: An 803cc air-cooled Desmodue L-twin (Euro 5+ compliant).
Power: It delivers 73 hp at 8,250 rpm and 65.2 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
Exhaust: A custom-developed Termignoni silencer is fitted as standard, tuned to provide a deep, evocative “Desmo” growl.
