Microloans without guarantee: Under this new initiative of the state government, eligible women under the Maiyaan Samman Yojana will be provided with the facility to avail microloans up to a maximum of ₹20,000 through banks. The best part is that women beneficiaries do not need any guarantee or collateral for this loan. Banks will receive a loan security guarantee from the government itself, ensuring women can easily access loans and start their own businesses.
What if they miss an installment? If, for some reason, a beneficiary woman is unable to pay her loan installment on time or if she misses an installment for a long time, the installment will be adjusted from the ₹2,500 honorarium she receives every month from the government. This will prevent any losses for the banks and ensure smooth implementation of the scheme.
Agreement between Jharkhand Government and Banks: An in-principle agreement has been reached between the Jharkhand Government's Finance Department and the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) to implement this scheme. In a recent meeting, banks have fully assured their support for this initiative.

This means that every eligible woman will receive the benefits of the scheme, whether there is one woman in the family or more.
Millions of women will benefit: Currently, under the Maiyaan Samman Yojana, approximately 5.1 million women in Jharkhand are receiving monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500 directly into their bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
