February 12 was the day of big matches and one-sided victories in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Yesterday, India vs Namibia, Sri Lanka vs Oman and Nepal vs Italy matches were played, which directly affected the group standings.

India vs namibia

India registered its second consecutive win in the tournament by defeating Namibia by 93 runs in the Group-A match played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Batting first, India made a big score of 209/9 in 20 overs. Quick half-centuries by Ishan Kishan (61) and Hardik Pandya (52) put the team in a strong position. While chasing the target, Namibia’s team could not stand against the Indian bowlers and were all out for 116 runs in 18.2 overs. Good bowling by Varun Chakraborty and other bowlers made the match one-sided. With this victory, India reached the top in Group A on the basis of net run rate.

Sri Lanka vs oman

In the Group B match, Sri Lanka defeated Oman by 105 runs. Sri Lankan batsmen, batting first, scored a huge score of 200+, which remained far out of reach of Oman. Oman’s team looked under pressure while chasing the target and could only reach 120/9 in the stipulated 20 overs. This big win for Sri Lanka strengthened both their net run rate and their position in the group.

Italy vs nepal

Italy registered its first win in T20 World Cup history by defeating Nepal in the Group C match played in Mumbai. This victory is special because the Italian team has entered the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time and performed well in the first tournament itself, defeating an emerging team like Nepal.

Big impact on points table

After yesterday’s matches, India remains on top in Group A with 2 consecutive wins. Sri Lanka remains on top in Group B with a big margin of victory and strong net run rate. This day is considered to be very decisive for the group stage of the tournament, because big margin wins play an important role in further qualification.
