digital desk- The rhetoric regarding Shankaracharya controversy has intensified in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has sharply retaliated on the remarks made by Yogi Adityanath in the Assembly. In fact, CM Yogi had recently said in the House that “Not every person can become Shankaracharya, not everyone can spoil the environment by becoming Acharya of any Peeth.” After his statement the political turmoil intensified. Akhilesh Yadav targeted the CM by posting on social media platform X. He wrote, “Whatever clothes someone wears, but his speech should be exposed.” He further said that speaking derogatory and derogatory words about Shankaracharya ji is verbal violence and also a sin. He also said that along with those who make such statements, those who thump the table in the House will also be guilty of sin. Akhilesh said in a warning tone that when BJP MLAs go among the public, the public will put up their ‘house’ on the road itself.

Mahakumbh and questions on moral rights

The SP chief also raised the issue of Mahakumbh stampede. He alleged that the government is not making public the correct figures of deaths and there is no transparency in compensation distribution. Akhilesh asked where did the money of those who did not receive compensation go? He said that the government which gets the cases against itself dropped, does not have the moral right to question the religious position of anyone else. Akhilesh Yadav also took a dig at the words ‘rule of law’ and ‘rule of law’ during the CM’s speech. He taunted and said that if there is a mistake in the words, will the House be called again or will atonement be made for it. He said, “When ego and not humans speak, values turn into vices. The respect of such a person decreases in the society.”

‘The statement was recorded in the House’

Akhilesh said that the statement given on Shankaracharya has been recorded forever in the proceedings of the House and calling it condemnable would be an understatement. He alleged that this is part of politics to humiliate a section of the society. At present, this controversy to Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand has heated up the politics of the state. The rhetoric between BJP and SP has intensified, and this issue may further escalate in the coming days.
