Alkem Laboratories reported steady growth in its December 2025 quarter (Q3FY26), with revenue and operating profit improving on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, although net profit growth remained modest due to exceptional items and higher tax outgo.

For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, revenue from operations stood at ₹3,736.82 crore, compared to ₹3,374.28 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting a 10.7% YoY increase. Other income surged 53.9% YoY to ₹143.10 crore from ₹92.99 crore, supporting overall income growth.

Total income for Q3FY26 came in at ₹3,879.92 crore, up 11.9% from ₹3,467.27 crore reported in Q3FY25.

On the cost front, total expenses rose 11.3% YoY to ₹3,045.93 crore as against ₹2,736.20 crore in the year-ago period. The rise in expenses was broadly in line with revenue growth, helping the company maintain operating stability.

Profit before exceptional items and tax increased 14.1% YoY to ₹833.99 crore from ₹731.07 crore. However, the company reported an exceptional loss of ₹52.79 crore during the quarter, which impacted the final profitability numbers.

Reported profit before tax stood at ₹781.20 crore, marking a 6.9% increase compared to ₹731.07 crore in Q3FY25.

Total tax expense jumped sharply by 41.4% YoY to ₹127.67 crore from ₹90.28 crore, putting pressure on the bottom line.

As a result, net profit for the quarter rose marginally by 1.9% YoY to ₹653.03 crore, compared to ₹640.79 crore in the same quarter last year.
