SiLicon City Bengaluru is in the news these days more because of its strange rents than because of its IT companies. Finding a home here is no less than a battle. Recently, a news viral on social media has shown to what extent the real estate market of Bengaluru has reached. Just because good sunlight comes from the window of the house, the landlord asked for a rent of Rs 80,000. This incident has shocked everyone.

Now premium price for incense also

A woman named Anu has shared this post on X (first Twitter). When she went to rent a flat, the landlord fixed the rent at Rs 80,000, saying that the house had 'good natural light and sunlight'. Air and light, previously considered a basic necessity of any home, are now being termed as a 'premium amenity' or a luxury amenity. As soon as this post went viral, people expressed their anger and said that instead of paying rent of Rs 80,000, it is better to buy your house by paying EMI of the same amount.

Demand of Rs 23 lakh in the name of security deposit!

Such disturbing news related to rent has gone viral before. This incident came to light in Beniganahalli area of Bengaluru. According to information shared by a Canadian digital creator, the monthly rent for a 4BHK house there was Rs 2.3 lakh. But people were shocked by the amount of security deposit which was more than the rent. The landlord had asked to pay the entire 10 months' rent, i.e. Rs 23 lakh, in advance. concern of common people

Thus, the ever-increasing rent and unrealistic demands for security deposit have become a huge burden for the common and middle class people living in Bengaluru. Today, even for livable houses in Bengaluru, one has to pay more than expensive cities like Mumbai.

It is becoming doubtful whether Bengaluru's rental system has now become just a money making business. Today's situation of paying separately for natural amenities like sunlight and air has become a pain in the neck for tenants.

With the resumption of offices after Covid, the number of people coming to Bengaluru has increased. But the number of good houses is less. Also, in the name of facilities, the rent is increasing so much that it is becoming out of the reach of the common middle class. Recently, many such incidents are going viral under the hashtag 'Bengaluru Rental Stories', which we can see.
