In this incident that took place in Doghat police station area, a husband, after seeing his wife in an objectionable position with his own nephew, took such a decision, which was discussed in the village for a long time. This matter is not just a family dispute, but has become a complex matter related to relationships, trust and social norms.
According to local sources, Pragya (name changed) was married to Pankaj (name changed) about eight years ago. The couple had two children and the family was leading a normal life. It is being told that in the last few years, the closeness between the woman and her brother-in-law's son Sanjeev (name changed) increased. Although the family was not aware of this.
According to family members, the husband saw both of them together on the night of Valentine's Day. After this there was a heated argument in the house. The matter escalated and reached the police station. Negotiations and attempts to reach an agreement took place for several hours between the three parties in the Doghat police station premises. However, no concrete consensus could be reached.
Seeing the situation becoming complicated, the husband allegedly got his wife married to his nephew. According to eyewitnesses, both of them garlanded each other in the police station premises itself. After this both of them were sent away from the village. The people present were surprised to see this incident. However, the police has clarified that no party has filed a written complaint in this matter.
