Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has got relief from Delhi High Court in the check bounce case of Rs 9 crore. The petition of the actor lodged in Tihar Jail was heard on Monday and he has been granted interim bail. However, before granting him bail, the court made strict remarks on him.
Delhi High Court has granted interim bail to Rajpal Yadav. Yadav had sought bail to attend his niece's wedding to be held on February 19. This marriage will take place in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. As per the court order, Yadav paid Rs 1.5 crore to the complainant. Only after that the way for his interim bail could be cleared.
The court has granted conditional bail to Rajpal Yadav. The court has directed the 54-year-old actor to surrender his passport and not to leave the country without permission. Rajpal Yadav has also deposited a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh.
Before granting bail, Delhi High Court had taken a strict stance and told Rajpal Yadav, "If you deposit a demand draft of Rs 1.5 crore in the name of the complainant by 3 pm today, you will be released. Otherwise we will hear the matter tomorrow morning."
The next hearing in Rajpal Yadav's 'missing without trace' loan case will be held on March 18, 2026. The court has instructed Rajpal Yadav that he will have to attend the hearing on March 18. If they cannot come to court due to work, they can attend the hearing through video conferencing.
