Sharafudheen-Kalyani Panicker's 'Madhuvidhu' release postponed
‘ Madhuvidhu ,’ starring Sharafudheen and Kalyani Panicker, was scheduled for theatrical release on February 6; however, the makers have pushed the release date further. The makers have now announced that the film will be released on May 1.
On Sunday, February 15, Sharafudheen took to his Instagram handle and announced the new release date. “Save the date! #Madhuvidhu arrives in theatres May 1, 2026,” he said, unveiling a new poster.

What you should know about ‘ Madhuvidhu ’?‘Madhuvidhu’ is directed by debutant Vishnu Aravind. The film will feature Sharafudheen and Kalyani Panicker in the lead roles. Kalyani Panicker, who is the daughter of veteran actor Bindu Panicker, will mark her debut with the upcoming film. The film is touted to be a comedy family drama. As per the makers, the film is all about family, fun, and a whole lot of surprises! “Get ready for laughter, love, and twists coming!” the makers earlier said. The film also has actors Jagadish, Azees Nedumangad, Saikumar, Sreejaya, Amal Jose, and Sanju Madhu, in supporting roles.
The film is scripted by Bibin Mohan, who has previously co-written ‘Shylock’, and Jai Vishnu, one of the screenwriters of ‘Madhura Manohara Moham’.
On the professional front, Sharafudheen’s recent outing was ‘Ashakal Aayiram’ starring Kalidas and Jayaram. The film is now running successfully in the theatres. The actor has also been roped in to play a crucial role in the yet-to-be-titled Nivin Pauly-B Unnikrishnan film. Another exciting film in Sharafudheen’s kitty is Amal Neerad’s ‘Bachelor Party D’eux’. It is a sequel to the director’s 2012 film ‘Bachelor Party’.
