A contractor focusing on office fit-outs and refurbishment has plunged into administration. The London-based firm, which was founded in 2005, reported a pre-tax loss of £2.1 million in 2024.

Artemis Interior Services Ltd blamed a "disappointing year" for their financial struggles. The company, which has roughly 40 members of staff, added that "two challenging projects" resulted in "significant losses" before they made the decision to appoint administrators. They are yet to offically name who has been appointed to save the company.

As reported by Construction Enquirer, the latest financial reports for Artemis Interior Services Ltd, which include the year to December 31, 2024, show a turnover of £21.6 million generating a pre-tax loss of £2.1 million. The firm, led by Managing Director Alan Martin, said: "This is the first year in the history of the business where losses have been incurred."

The company worked across the UK for office occupiers and landlords. It specialised in commercial interior design and construction in occupied environments.

Its website states: "We specialise in commercial fit out and refurbishment projects, not only in London but also nationwide. Based in Moorgate, London, we deliver a wide range of projects for Occupiers, Landlords and Professional Teams. Artemis Interiors is a financially secure organisation, with an exemplary health & safety record."

The company has a number of positive reviews online. They include reviews from a host of large companies such as M&G Real Estate, Royal London Asset Management and Marine HCC.

M&G Real Estate said: "Artemis have transformed Abbeygate into the newly named Abbey Wharf and the building is unrecognisable. Royal London Asset Management added: "Artemis completed the project without any fuss and without upsetting our tenants which is a great achievement. We are delighted with the completed project and would not hesitate to use you again."
