Brian Bennett scored an unbeaten 63 for Zimbabwe, while Raza played a brilliant captaincy knock of 45 runs. With this win, Zimbabwe have overtaken Sri Lanka to top Group B. Now, Zimbabwe will focus on a similar performance in the Super 8 matches and a place in the semi-finals. After Australia, Sri Lanka also lost.
Big upset from Zimbabwe

Sri Lanka’s winning streak stopped
With this victory, Zimbabwe stopped Sri Lanka’s winning streak. Sri Lanka had earlier registered a hat-trick of wins and secured a spot in the Super 8s. Pathum Nisanka and Pawan Ratnayake batted brilliantly for Sri Lanka in the match. Nissanka, who was in excellent form, got the team off to a great start with a knock of 62 runs. Pawan then scored 44 off 25 balls to lead the team to 160 runs. Pawan hit three fours and two sixes. Nisanka’s innings consisted of eight fours. Dunith Velalage scored 15 off 8 balls in the last over to take the team to 178, but this score was not enough to win. However, the Sri Lankan team will now forget this defeat and focus on the Super 8 matches.
Warning to Super 8 teams
