Vivo has launched its new V series smartphones in India, which consist of the vivo V70 and the vivo V70 Elite. Priced at Rs 45,999, the new smartphones come with a combination of high-end design, powerful processors, and advanced camera technology co-developed with ZEISS. The brand claims that the new V70 series is its “most evolved” V series lineup to date, with a major emphasis on photography, artificial intelligence, and long-term performance.
Vivo has added new artificial intelligence tools to improve photography. One of them is an India-focused “AI Holi Portrait” mode that adjusts bright festival colours while keeping skin tones natural. Other tools can enhance skies, add creative effects and improve travel photos automatically. The aim is to allow users to edit and enhance pictures using the phone without the need for additional applications.
Under the hood, the Vivo V70 Elite comes with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which they claim is fast enough for gaming and heavy operations. The V70 variant comes with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, which is optimised for smooth operation and improved battery life. Both smartphones come equipped with a battery of 6500mAh and support 90W fast charging.
The devices feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with slim bezels and bright visuals suitable for outdoor use. They also feature excellent dust and water resistance and an improved fingerprint sensor for faster unlocking.
One of the key features of the new smartphones is the 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera, which is capable of taking clear images even in low light conditions. The camera has a zoom capability of up to 10x, which will enable the user to click clear images from a distance.
For video lovers, the devices support 4K recording at 60 frames per second. Users can zoom while recording without losing much detail. On the front, there is a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus and a wide-angle view, making group selfies sharper and more balanced. The device also has AI features that let you cut down on background noise or unwanted audio in the environment.
The V70 is available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow, while the Elite version also comes in Sand Beige and Authentic Black. Sales begin February 26 across online and retail stores in India.
