Indian equity benchmarks ended higher on February 20, with frontline indices extending gains in the final hour of trade. The Nifty 50 closed above the 25,550 mark, while the Sensex also settled in positive territory.

The BSE Sensex rose 316.57 points, or 0.38%, to close at 82,814.71. The Nifty 50 advanced 116.90 points, or 0.46%, to end at 25,571.25.

Against this backdrop, several Nifty 50 stocks recorded notable gains on a weekly basis. Here’s the list of Nifty 50 top gainers this week as per Trendlyne.

Larsen & Toubro emerged as the top gainer among the selected stocks this week, rising 5.0%. The stock closed at ₹4,380.6, up 2.3% on February 20.

HDFC Life Insurance gained 4.6% for the week, even as it slipped 0.6% in Friday’s session to close at ₹728.7.

ITC added 4.2% during the week and ended February 20 at ₹327.0, up 0.3% for the day.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation also rose 4.2% this week. The stock closed at ₹278.7, advancing 1.5% in the latest session.

Power Grid Corporation of India gained 4.1% over the week and finished at ₹299.0, up 1.5% on February 20.

Coal India climbed 3.6% for the week, ending the session at ₹423.6, higher by 1.8%.

Max Healthcare Institute advanced 3.3% this week and closed at ₹1,087.9, up 0.6% on the day.

Hindalco Industries rose 2.9% during the week. The stock ended at ₹935.7, gaining 3.3% in Friday’s trade.

NTPC added 2.7% this week and settled at ₹373.0, up 2.7% in the session.

Axis Bank also gained 2.7% over the week, closing at ₹1,368.3, up 0.9% on February 20.
