New Delhi: Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan got married to his long-time girlfriend Sophie Shine in a private ceremony in Delhi NCR on Saturday. Dhawan married for the second time after divorcing his ex-wife Ayesha Mukherjee in 2023. His former India teammate Yuzvendra Chahal shared the first pictures from the wedding on social media.

Dhawan and Sophie have been dating for a while now and made their relationship public last year. The couple were also spotted together during a match in the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai last year. They announced their engagement in January this year. Earlier this week, Dhawan had shared pictures from his Sangeet ceremony with Sophie.

Dhawan and Sophie were first spotted together in the Champions Trophy last year, sparking speculation. The couple soon made their relationship official and were often spotted on each other’s social media posts. Dhawan started dating Sophie after separating from his ex-wife Ayesha in October 2023.

Dhawan and Ayesha were married for 11 years and have a son named Zoravar, who lives with his mother in Australia. The estranged couple were involved in an ugly divorce, which saw Dhawan allege that he was forced to remain away from his son and had not seen him for more than a year, despite the court directing Ayesha to let him meet his son.

Ayesha had two daughters from her previous marriage before tying the knot with Dhawan. Their 11-year marriage ended due to multiple issues between the couple over the years. Two years after his separation from Ayesha, Dhawan, who retired from all cricket in 2024, hinted at a media conclave last year that he had found love again in his life.
