Now grind roasted tomatoes, garlic and green chillies coarsely in a mixer. Keep in mind that the paste should not be too smooth, a light coarse texture makes the chutney more delicious. After this, heat mustard oil in a small pan. When the oil starts emitting light smoke, slow down the flame and add cumin and asafoetida.
When cumin starts crackling, add finely chopped onion and fry till it becomes light golden. Now add prepared tomato paste to it and add salt. Cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes. Finally add green coriander and turn off the gas. Delicious tomato chutney is ready to serve.
