for stuffing
Mawa (Khoya) – 250 grams
Powdered sugar – 150 grams
Cashews, Almonds – finely chopped
Raisins – a little
Cardamom powder – half teaspoon
Coconut shavings – 2 teaspoons
Flour – 2 cups
Ghee – 4 spoons
Water – as per need
First of all, fry the mawa in a pan on low flame. When the mawa turns light golden, turn off the gas. When it cools down, add powdered sugar, dry fruits, coconut and cardamom. Stuffing is ready. Now add ghee to the flour and mix well. Add water little by little and knead a stiff dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15 minutes. Make small balls of dough. Roll them out and fill them with stuffing. Close the edges tightly with the Gujiya mold or with your hands. Heat ghee in a pan. Fry the Gujiya on low flame until it turns golden. When they cool down, keep them in an airtight container.
