New Delhi: A man was found dead inside a parked car at a shopping mall in Delhi’s Mayur Vihar on Monday, police said.
According to police, a PCR call was received on Monday night informing about a man found unconscious inside a car at Star City Mall. Upon reaching the spot, police found the body of a man inside a Honda City car in the basement parking lot of the shopping mall in the Mayur Vihar police station area of east Delhi.
No external injuries found on man’s body
No external injuries were found on the man’s body after initial examination, police said, apparently ruling out the murder angle.
The mall houses an HDFC Life office, and the car belonged to Gaurav, who worked there. Gaurav had hired the driver online to drive the car.
Asthma medicines found near man
Police said that the CCTV footage, installed in the basement of the mall, was examined and found no suspicious activity. Police said that asthma medicines were found near the man, and prima facie, the case appears to be a natural death.
Police said that the body has been sent to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for post-mortem examination and further investigation is underway. The man’s family has been informed and further legal action is being taken, police added.
