As summer approaches, skin tanning becomes a common concern. Continuous exposure to sunlight, dust, sweat, and pollution can make the skin look darker, dull, and uneven. Tanning affects not just the face but also the neck, arms, and legs, making overall skin tone appear lifeless.

Why Skin Loses Its Natural Glow

Daily exposure to harsh sunlight, environmental pollution, and chemical-based beauty products gradually damages the skin. Over time, this leads to pigmentation, tanning, and loss of natural brightness. Tanning is especially stubborn and takes time to fade if not treated properly.

Why Avoid Chemical-Based Products

Many soaps and face washes available in the market promise instant fairness. However, the harsh chemicals in these products can dry out the skin, increase sensitivity, and cause long-term damage. For healthy, glowing skin, natural remedies are often safer and more effective.

Make Tan Removal Soap at Home

You can easily prepare a natural tan-removal soap at home using just three simple ingredients. This soap helps reduce tanning, brighten the complexion, and keep the skin soft and nourished—without any harmful side effects.

Ingredients Required

  • 2 teaspoons gram flour (besan)

  • ½ teaspoon turmeric

  • Raw milk (as needed)

How to Prepare the Soap

First, take a clean bowl and add gram flour and turmeric. Slowly add raw milk while mixing, ensuring the mixture doesn’t become too runny.
Mix well until a smooth, thick paste forms with no lumps. This paste will act as your natural soap base.

Setting the Soap

Pour the prepared paste into a small mold, bowl, or container lid. Spread it evenly and gently tap to level the surface. Leave it to dry for 8–10 hours or overnight until it hardens.

Ready to Use

Once the mixture has set completely, carefully remove it from the mold. Your homemade tan-removal soap is now ready for use.

How to Use

Lightly wet the soap and rub it gently on the skin in circular motions while bathing or washing your face. Leave it on for about 10–12 minutes, then rinse with plain water. For best results, use it daily or on alternate days.

Storage Tips

Always store the soap in a dry place after use. Since it contains natural ingredients, it’s best to prepare a fresh batch every 7–10 days.

Prevent Tanning Naturally

To protect your skin from tanning, always apply sunscreen before stepping out in the sun. Don’t forget areas like the neck, arms, and legs. Wearing hats, scarves, or full-sleeved clothing also helps shield the skin.

Additional Skin Care Tips

Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week using a natural scrub to remove dead skin cells. Most importantly, drink 2–3 liters of water daily to keep your skin hydrated, healthy, and glowing.
