If the bank details are correct and the verification is complete, the first installment can come by mid-April.

There is no need of any agent or middleman in this scheme. The money will go directly to your bank account. The government sends money directly from the treasury to the account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Therefore, it is very important to have correct bank account number, IFSC code and Aadhaar linking while applying.

Please note that money is not received immediately after application. First your name appears in the “Provisionally Identified” i.e. waiting list. When the government releases a new list and the budget is allotted, then the name goes in “Live List”. Your payment cycle starts as soon as you appear in the Live List. The government has set a big budget for 2026, which is expected to benefit more youth.
