A shocking case of alleged negligence of the health department has come to light. A woman from Dakor area of ​​the district had undergone sterilization one and a half years ago, but despite this she gave birth to her third child. The family, which is facing financial crisis, has complained to the District Magistrate and the Chief Minister calling it a government lapse and has demanded the government to bear the expenses of the child’s upbringing.


The head of the family, Bhanu Pratap, who is a mason by profession, said that he already had two children. Under family planning, he had his wife sterilized at the time of the birth of his second child. After the operation, the health department officials informed that the sterilization was successful, after which they returned home relieved.


After some time, the family was shocked to learn that the woman was pregnant. Bhanupratap says that he complained to the health department, but no action was taken for a long time. He alleges that he has been making rounds of different government offices for the last two years.


DM ordered investigation


After the complaint of the matter reached the District Magistrate, orders for investigation have been given. Officials say that further action will be decided only after the investigation report comes.


Demand from the government to bear the expenses


Bhanu Pratap says that in times of inflation, he is barely able to raise two children. She had undergone sterilization following the family planning campaign, but now the financial burden has increased with the birth of the third child. He says that if there has been negligence in sterilization then the government should bear the expenses of raising the child.


In this matter, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Virendra Singh said that the entire incident is being investigated and the situation will become clear only after the report comes.
