Vipul Amritlal Shah’s film ‘The Kerala Story-2: Goes Beyond’ has started strengthening its hold in theatres. After getting relief from the Supreme Court after the initial controversies and legal hurdles, the film is getting good response from the audience.
There has been a significant jump in the film’s earnings over the weekend. According to box office figures, the film, released on February 27, had an opening of Rs 75 lakh on the first day. However, on the second day i.e. Saturday, there was a huge jump in the film’s earnings and it made a business of Rs 4.65 crore.
On the third day on Sunday, the film earned Rs 5 crore, taking the total collection to Rs 10.40 crore. This performance in just three days is considered a relief for the producers.
However, this collection of the film is much less than its first installment ‘The Kerala Story’. The first film, released in the year 2023, did an excellent business of Rs 35.43 crore in the first three days, while the second installment seems to be far behind this figure.
Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha are seen in lead roles in this film directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh. Now everyone’s eyes are on the further collection of the film.
