New Delhi, 2 March 2026: After four weeks of exciting cricket, the T20 World Cup 2026 has now reached its final stage. The world’s best four teams, defending champions India, South Africa, England and New Zealand, will now enter the field to win the trophy. All the knockout matches will be played in the prestigious stadiums of India, in which the first semi-final will be between South Africa and New Zealand, while India and England will face each other in the second semi-final.

Keeping in mind the weather conditions, ICC has announced to keep ‘Reserve Day’ for both the semi-final matches. Both the semi-finals will start at 7:00 pm Indian time. If the match is postponed to another day (reserve day), the play will start early i.e. at 3:00 pm.

ICC has made some important changes to overcome rain or other obstacles. An additional time of 90 minutes will be given to complete the match on the scheduled day and 120 minutes on the reserve day. To declare the result, it is mandatory for both the teams to play at least 10 overs each. If the match goes to the reserve day, the play will start from where it was left on the first day. If the number of overs is reduced on the first day, then the same number of overs will be played on the reserve day also. If play is not possible even on the reserve day, then the team that is on top in the points table in the group stage will be declared the winner and sent to the finals.

The eyes of Indian fans are on the second semi-final, where Team India will try to defeat the challenge of England and reach the final for the second consecutive time. India is in great form right now and the team can get the advantage of playing at home.
