Sanjay Singh, Patna: Holi celebrations were at their peak on Tuesday, February 3 in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Naveen celebrated Holi, the festival of colors, in traditional ways with party workers. On reaching Patna from Delhi, he directly attended a Holi Milan function and was seen engrossed in the celebration amid a shower of colors with party workers.

Patna Metropolitan BJP organized Holi Milan function and cultural program at Chatkhara Food Court, Bailey Road. As soon as Nitin Naveen reached the venue, party workers gave him a warm welcome. The beat of drums, shower of Abir and Gulal and echo of Fagua songs filled the entire area with a festive atmosphere.

Addressing the workers from the stage, Nitin Naveen wished Holi to the countrymen and especially the people of Bihar. He said that Holi is not just a festival of colors, but a symbol of social interaction and cultural unity. He said that India’s diversity is its strength and different ideas and cultures together make the country stronger.

However, lightening the atmosphere, he said with a smile, ‘Today is Holi, today is not a speech, it is a day for listening to songs and celebrating happiness.’ The workers present welcomed his statement with thunderous applause.

The atmosphere became more colorful during the program as the song ‘Patna Mein Ram Khele Holi’ was played. Nitin Naveen also could not stop himself and started clapping and dancing with the workers. Amidst the shower of flowers, the formal distinction between leaders and workers seemed to disappear and the entire event turned into a family celebration.

The presence of Minister Dilip Jaiswal and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary added to the grandeur of the Holi Milan ceremony. Both the leaders also boosted enthusiasm by playing with colors. Apart from this, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Legislative Council Member Sanjay Mayukh, MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia, and many other senior leaders and a large number of workers were present.
