Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ has become one of the most awaited Indian films in recent years. Directed by Nitish Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, this mythological tale is being made on a large scale. According to recent reports, Hollywood may also be involved in its final production.
According to sources, renowned filmmaker Christopher Nolan has been approached for the final review of the film.
According to reports, the makers have approached Nolan, known for films like ‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Inception’ and ‘Interstellar’, to do a detailed final review of ‘Ramayana’. If this collaboration does happen, Nolan will focus on important aspects of the film, including:
editing,
Visual Effects (VFX),
sound design,
The total cinematic treatment.
Sources also say that renowned cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema may be called in to oversee the visual scale and technical nuances of the film. It is reported that a 72-day review program is being considered, after which Nolan will give his final assessment.
This development makes it clear that the makers really want to set global cinematic standards. With the latest VFX and high production values, ‘Ramayana’ is being prepared not just as a Bollywood spectacle, but as an international mythological epic.
Given its scale and ambition, trade analysts believe that the film could break box office records upon release.
Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita. Kannada superstar Yash will be playing the role of Ravana, further adding strength to the cast.
The film is planned to be made in two parts:
Part One – To be released this Diwali,
Part Two – Expected to hit the theaters next Diwali.
With technicians from all over the world involved and a stellar cast leading the story, ‘Ramayana’ is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic projects in Indian film history.
