Brooklyn Beckham keeps proving time and time again that he's taking inspiration from Prince Harry, but he's taking it too far. All we need now is a sit-down chat with Oprah Winfrey and a tell-all book, and we've basically got the new Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. But what's happened now? Harry misses the UK and his family, and wants to reconnect; he's made it difficult for himself, but he's trying. You'd think seeing this all play out so publicly, Brooklyn may have taken notice, but it doesn't seem so. To celebrate Brooklyn's birthday, his parents put out a touching birthday message despite the ongoing family rift, which appears to have wound Brooklyn up the wrong way to the point where quotes were issued about it, which feels even more like something Harry would have done in the early stages of his very public family fallout.

It's getting boring. Breaking news! David and Victoria posted about their son on his birthday! If Brooklyn hated it that much, he could've stayed quiet, but sources close to him make it clear that he didn't, because whether he complained or it really was someone else, he still had something to say. Don't we think complaining about that is just a tad dramatic, even for him?

A source told Entertainment Daily that Brooklyn was "disheartened" that his parents made a public Instagram post and hit out at the "performative actions that he's been trying to put an end to". They also added that he and his wife Nicola have been "trying to stay away" from it all and want to move on from it. Honestly? Come off it. Nothing sounds more stupidly privileged than a child complaining about their parents wishing them happy birthday on social media. While your birthday is to celebrate you, David and Victoria also deserve to celebrate the day they became parents; it's a momentous occasion for them too, whether Brooklyn wants to admit that or not.

When you grow up in the public eye, you have to accept that a lot of your life will continue in the public eye too, and if you want to walk away from that, you have to walk away from ALL of that. That's what Harry said he wanted to do, but they soon backtracked and started doing countless interviews and throwing digs at the royals. Brooklyn is a copy-pasting thing, and it's quite frankly embarrassing.

It's taken a few years, but Harry has been trying to crawl back into the good graces of the royals. I guess everyone realises at some point that being frustrated with your family doesn't necessarily mean you cut them off. There ARE valid reasons to cut off family members; they exist, but we've not seen them here. What's happened with Brooklyn and his parents is that he's been frustrated at them, and then instead of speaking to them about it like a grown adult, he ignored them until he cut them off for good.

He's getting worse than Prince Harry and I thought that was a stretch. At least Harry has realised his mistakes, but what will happen when Brooklyn realises his? Honestly, Posh and Becks will probably welcome him back with open arms because he's their son, but it won't come without a wave of backlash. Right now, Brooklyn is making mistake after mistake. He needs to back off from his parents, he needs to act like an adult and have a grown-up conversation, but most importantly, he needs to check his privilege.
