MasterChef India Season 9 Winner: MasterChef India is a very popular cooking reality show in the country, in which people from all over the country showcase their cooking skills and compete to win the title. The 9th season of the show started on January 5 this year. This season was judged by celebrity chefs Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and Kunal Kapoor. The show ended with the grand finale held on Friday, March 6. In the finale, the duo of two brothers from Nagpur, Vikram and Ajinkya Gandhe, were declared the winners of this season. Gandhi Brothers are residents of Nagpur, Maharashtra. These two brothers got recognition across the country after participating in MasterChef India Season 9 (2026). Vikram Gandhe is 31 years old and has studied commerce from City Premier College, Nagpur. 29 year old Ajinkya Gandhe has studied architecture from Nagpur. Growing up in an educated family, these two brothers have been fond of cooking since childhood and especially like to experiment with new dishes.






After completing his studies, Ajinkya Gandhe moved to Goa, where he fulfilled his old dream and started his first cafe. Over time, he also started organizing small dinner clubs at home with his wife. Whereas his brother Vikram Gandhe has been fond of food since childhood. According to media reports, he learned cooking at an early age and opened a small canteen at the age of just 19. After this, by the age of 22, he started his own restaurant, which ran for about three years. Later, Vikram sold the restaurant to fulfill his big dream of ice cream business, but as soon as he started working in this direction, the Covid pandemic came and his plan came to a halt. After this, when the new season of MasterChef India came, both the brothers took part in it.



This season saw a new pair format, in which two contestants participated as a team. A total of 12 pairs participated in this competition and each team had to showcase their cooking skills together in different cooking challenges.




The final saw a tough competition between three family couples. Nagpur’s brothers Ajinkya and Vikram Gandhe performed brilliantly and won the title. While sisters Anju Pradhan and Manju Ojha from Odisha were the first runners-up, mother-daughter duo Chandana and Sai Sri Rachakonda from Hyderabad secured the second runner-up position.










The prize money has changed over time in different seasons of MasterChef. Initially, the winners of the show were given a huge prize of around Rs 1 crore, but in recent seasons the winner gets around Rs 25 lakh, a trophy and a chance to gain recognition in the cooking industry.
